1) Tell us something about yourself that your fans may not know.

A: I'm a huge marketing geek. I took a lot of marketing courses in my undergrad and even outside of school, and im so observant of how artists & business tell their stories and build their brand. Its really a form of art and is so essential to learn for everyone!

2) How has being from Toronto had an impact on your music style, if at all?

A: Being from Toronto has definitely had an impact on my music. Number one, being the fact that it's cold and dark 70% of the year. The weather inspires sad songs, and when it gets warm i'll make more of my love songs. "September" one of my most bubbly releases was written in June, and "strangers" which is by far my darkest release was made mid winter.

3) How would you describe the current music scene in Toronto and how much talent has been coming out of it?

A: The current music scene in Toronto is really interesting because I've lately been seeing artists from every genre continue to thrive. But I would say r&b and rap tend to dominate. There's always new talent popping up, it's almost impossible to keep up with. Because of this, there are always so many opportunities to collaborate with new people and just continue to meet new people that you can learn from.

4) What was the inspiration behind your latest single Chaos?

A: The inspiration behind 'chaos' is self-forgiveness. As someone who tends to blame themselves for situations not working out, 'chaos' was that milestone in my life where i could let go of the pain that i was going through without the need to put the blame on anybody.

5) What made you want to put two different styles into one song?

A: The two styles in 'chaos' are very necessary because they tell the same story from two different perspectives. The first part which is more intense reflects a lot of anxiety, hurt and frustration from a situation that ended. The second half is more relaxed and laid back, and focuses more on myself and how I was affected. It concludes with an affirmation that states "I'm not to blame for the chaos we made", which was the moment of realization that I can peacefully close the chapter knowing I'm not to blame.

6) What's next for you as an artist?

A: I released my EP in October, so I'm focused on putting out singles right now, working with more international artists, and getting back to doing live performances!
